Ishtarfest 2023

Our 8th annual Ishtarfest is available as recordings! The theme this year is “Ancient Religion, Modern Practice.”

What does it mean to be a follower of Mesopotamian Polytheism in 2023 AD, and what place in this world does such practice have? For some of us it is about connection with our roots – Pagan roots broadly for some, ancestral roots specifically for others. And then there are those who follow for no greater reason than the Lioness told us to.

This is a time of gathering for the community of the Goddess and those interested in Sumerian myth and religion. We celebrate our pagan roots and seek to connect, worship, learn and have fun in the spirit of Inanna /Ishtar / Astarte and the Annuna deities.
